Performance of a contract

We process information that is necessary to provide EDeets and its features to you, including creating your account and providing your digital business card.

Legitimate interests

We may process certain information where it is necessary for our legitimate interests, such as maintaining, securing and improving EDeets, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.

Legal obligations

We may process information where necessary to comply with a legal obligation.

Consent

Google

If you choose to sign in using Google, authentication information is processed through Google's authentication services.

remove.bg

EDeets provides an optional background-removal feature for banner images.

If you choose to use this feature, the selected banner image is sent to remove.bg so that the background can be removed.

The processed image is then returned to EDeets and can be stored as part of your digital business card.

We do not send images to remove.bg unless you use the background-removal feature.

7. International processing

Some service providers used by EDeets may process information outside the United Kingdom.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, we will take appropriate steps to ensure that the transfer is made in accordance with applicable data-protection law.

If you stop using EDeets or request deletion of your information, we will take reasonable steps to delete information that we are no longer required or permitted to retain.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.

However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

You are also responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and should not share your password with other people.

11. Children's privacy

EDeets is not designed to encourage children to provide unnecessary personal information.

If you use EDeets, you should only provide information that you are permitted to provide and that is appropriate for the service.

If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child in circumstances where additional protections are required, we will take appropriate steps to address this.
